उम्मीदवारों के लिए कटऑफ़ अनुमान

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) ने सिविल सर्विसेज़ परीक्षा का प्रीलिम्स चरण 25 मई 2025 को आयोजित किया और 11 जून को परिणाम जारी किए। हालांकि, आधिकारिक कटऑफ़ अभी तक नहीं आया, क्योंकि UPSC पूरा सिविल सर्विसेज़ सिलेबस, जिसमें मेन्स और कांसिडेट्स की आखिरी रैंकिंग शामिल है, मार्च‑अप्रैल 2026 में प्रकाशित करेगा। इस बीच, कई कोचिंग संस्थान और स्वतंत्र विशेषज्ञ ने उपलब्ध डेटा और पिछले वर्षों की प्रवृत्तियों के आधार पर अनुमान प्रस्तुत किए हैं।

2024 में जनरल वर्ग का कटऑफ़ 87.98 अंक था, जो 2023 की तुलना में काफी बढ़ा। 2023 में CSAT पेपर की कठिनाई के कारण कटऑफ़ 75.41 अंक तक गिर गया था। 2025 के पेपर में दोनों पेपर—GS‑I और CSAT—की कठिनाई स्तर में वृद्धि का अनुमान है, जिससे विशेषज्ञों ने कहा है कि इस साल का कटऑफ़ पिछले साल से थोड़ा नीचे रह सकता है, लेकिन 2023 की निचली सीमा से बहुत दूर रहेगा।

ये अंतर केवल प्रश्नावली की कठिनाई से नहीं, बल्कि कई वैरिएबल्स से तय होते हैं: कुल अपीयरेंस, उपलब्ध पदों की संख्या, उम्मीदवारों का औसत प्रदर्शन और परीक्षा के विभिन्न सत्रों में प्रश्नपत्रों की समानता बनाए रखने हेतु लागू नॉर्मलाइज़ेशन प्रक्रिया। UPSC जब कई सत्र में परीक्षा लेता है, तो प्रत्येक सत्र के अंक को एक मानकीकृत स्केल पर लाया जाता है, जिससे किसी विशेष सत्र की कठिनाई से उम्मीदवार को अनुचित नुकसान न हो।

कटऑफ़ निर्धारण में केवल पेपर I (जनरल स्टडीज) के अंक ही मायने रखते हैं, क्योंकि पेपर II (CSAT) को क्वालिफाइंग माना जाता है और इसमें 33% पासिंग मार्क का न्यूनतम मानक तय है। इसलिए, यदि कोई उम्मीदवार CSAT में पास हो जाता है, तो उसका कुल स्कोर पूरी तरह से GS‑I के अंक पर निर्भर करता है।
